I particulary appreciated the fact that this book published in 1982 contains review of fantasy role-playing games available at the time other than D&D, and reviews of magazines and fanzines as well (Alarums & Excursion, Different worlds, and the like).

Lately I've become interested in a 1983 FRPG called Swordbearer, and this morning I read a review of it in Dragon magazine #71. The reviewer has nothing but praise for it and laments that AD&D and Runequest so dominate the market that people don't try new RPGs. Very impressive that the TSR house organ would run such a review.
Yes Swordbearer is quite a good old school FRPG, and if you are interested rpgnow is still selling it in pdf form.
