I am fascinated by this system--particularly it's tying of virtues to "real-world" abilities and attributes and the recitation by players of memorized Biblical scripture to activate miraculous effects. With those two concepts of gameplay, it makes the game ideal for allegorical adventures, and I wish the publishers had created Pilgrim's Progress and Divine Comedy campaign modules.
yes, i am fascinated as well by enchantements spoken aloud like prayers in order to achieve "miraculous" effects.
It reminds me of "Third age" a french rpg based on Tolkien's works never translate into english, where Poesy is bestowed upon elves, and its intrinsic beauty enables them to "cast" spells. A beautiful concept to explain whence magic comes.
